Donald Ray Smith, 90, of Abilene, passed away on May, 30, 2026 in Abilene.

Viewing and visitation will be Monday, June 8th between the hours of 2pm and 6pm at Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 9th at Hamil Family Funeral Home at 11am with Wayne Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Gap cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Donald Ray Smith was born in Avon, South Dakota to Lloyd & Louise Smith on April 16, 1936. He graduated from Blythe High School in Blythe California. He married Edna Berline Stricklin on Jan. 30, 1955 in Blythe, CA. He worked as a Grocery manager/Real Estate Developer for Alpha Beta/Cedar Creek Ranch/Pebble Beach Community/Silver Oaks Community for several years.

Donald Ray Smith was preceded in death by his wife Edna Berline Smith.

He is survived by his daughters Linda Lake, Brenda Constantine, and Rhonda Smith, his grandsons Wayne, Aaron, Taylor, and Tristan, his Great grand-daughters Linkynn, Memphis, Nixynn and Daltynn, and Great-grandson Broxton and Wayne Michael.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Lunsford, Aaron Moreno, Taylor Loop, Tristan Loop, Broxton Loop, Brian Constantine, Steve Lake
