Deborah Lynn Daniel

Deborah (Debbie) Daniel, 62, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, February 26th, in Abilene, Texas.

Debbie was born in Newport, New Hampshire, to Bob and Ruth Grimes on October 10th, 1958. An enthusiastic animal lover since childhood, she enjoyed horseback riding, and participated in competitive bull riding in the rodeo while in high school. Debbie graduated from Richland High School in 1977.

After enlisting in the United States Army, she was able to proudly serve her country and travel the world. While stationed in Germany, she met her husband, and they decided to start a family. Debbie was honorably discharged in 1983, after the birth of her first of two daughters. Since 2001, Debbie took great passion in her career with the United States Department of Agriculture, where she received several awards and accolades.  

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell Daniel, and father Robert Grimes.

Debbie is survived by her two daughters and their respective children; Jessie Neeley and daughter Emmy Neeley, and Annie Daniel and daughter Camila Redondo. She is also survived by 5 loving siblings Peggy Ballew, Bobbie Grimes, John Grimes, Jack Grimes, James Grimes, and their devoted mother, Ruth Grimes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Honor of Debbie to the Taylor Jones Humane Society.
