David Lee Brown passed away July 4, 2026 in Abilene, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 5:00p.m. to 7p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene. Graveside services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Buffalo Gap Cemetery.

David was a long time resident of Draco before coming to Hill/Living Resources in 2023, where he attended Day Hab at Culpepper's and made many friends.

David loved sitting in his recliner with his favorite blanket. It was what he looked forward to upon returning home. He always wanted attention and affection. He loved holding staff's hand when he went to bed because he wanted to be tucked in and watch tv while he fell sleep. He would smile at funny things and stick his tongue out to be silly. He was humorous and unpredictable. He was loved and cherished by his family at Hill/Living Resources. We would also like to thank the staff at San Miguel, especially Ray Ramirez for the love and care that you gave David each day.
