Danny Ray Lesley

Danny Ray Lesley, 80, of Abilene, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, in Abilene.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Broadview Baptist Church with Pastors Wes Terry and David Cason officiating. Burial will follow at Denton Valley (Kendrick) Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Danny was born in Midland, TX. to Frances (Burris) Lesley and Foy Edward Lesley on September 5, 1941. He graduated from Midland High School in Midland. He married Barbara Crawford in Midland on December 16, 1961. Danny was owner operator of Lesley Electric and Mr. Electric in Lubbock, Texas. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Danny was a member of Broadview Baptist Church.

Danny was preceded by his father, Foy Lesley and mother and stepfather, Frances and Charles Taylor, and his brother, Troy Lesley.

Danny is survived by his wife Barbara Lesley of Abilene; son, Terry Lesley of Abilene; daughter, Robin Gysin, and husband Rolf of Winterthur, Switzerland; brother, Allan Lesley of Midland; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Danny will be remembered and missed by many extended family members and friends.

Danny served his Lord Jesus through-out his life and lived by faith. His passions were fishing, hunting, and playing golf. He had many wonderful trips with his wife, son, daughter, and son–in-law traveling many times to Europe. Danny also served as a volunteer fire fighter in Shallowater Texas. We will all remember most how much he loved to laugh and make people laugh.
