Dana Lee Currie

Dana (Nana) Currie, 81, of Abilene, went home to be with the lord on February 2, 2021.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm till 8:00pm on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, February 5, 2021 at North Park Baptist Church with Pastor Louis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Dana Currie was born in Abilene, Texas to Clyde and Jewel Wilson on July 13, 1939. She married C.V. Currie on May 10, 1957. She worked as a Cafeteria Manager for Abilene Independent School District for 26 years.

Dana was preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Jewel Wilson. Brother, Eugene Wilson. And sister-in-law Carolyn Wilson.

Dana is survived by Spouse, C.V. Currie. Children, Keith and Patti Currie and Tammy Trevino and spouse, Gavino Trevino. Brother, Larry Wilson. Sister, Darlene Batson and husband Frank Batson. Sister-in-law Mickie Wilson. Five grandchildren, Candice South and spouse, Patrick South. Andrew Currie. Michael Currie and spouse, Erin Currie. Desiree Schmittling and spouse, Robert Schmittling. Brittany Cooper and spouse, Issac Cooper. And several great-grandchildren that she loved dearly.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Currie, Michael Currie, Patrick South, Issac Cooper, Robert Schmittling and Jackson South.
