Coy Alex Noles, Jr., 76, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on August 2, 2026 in Abilene, Texas.

Visitation will be held Thursday August 6, 2026 from 5 PM -7 PM at Hamil Family Funeral Home at 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday, August 7, 2026 at Hamil Family Funeral Home at 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene, Texas with Charlie Jones of the Central Woodson Church of Christ, Woodson, TX. officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at the Throckmorton Cemetery on Wisdom St. in Throckmorton, TX. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Coy, Jr. or "Rusty" as he was known in his early years, was born in Olney, Texas to Coy Alex Noles, Sr. and Wanda Gae (Moore) Noles on January 8, 1950. Coy spent several years in the Throckmorton school system before graduating from Midland High in 1968. Coy spent his freshman year at Sul Ross State in Alpine, Texas and was named Outstanding Freshman of the Year in 1969. He graduated from West Texas State University in 1972 with a degree in Business/Finance. Following graduation, Coy worked with Pride Refining and earned his Certified Public Accountant designation. Though he never returned to live in Throckmorton full-time, Coy and Jan loved the farm settled by his great-grandparents "Noles Hill" in Throckmorton County.

Coy was a talented businessman who enjoyed developing companies that served others: a home health agency, an assisted living retirement center, and Reliance Medical, Inc. serving patients in Muleshoe, Monahans, Pecos, Fort Stockton, and Presidio,Texas. Coy was an avid fisherman and hunter catching fish from Alaska to the Patagonia Region in Argentina. Coy and Jan enjoyed participating with the Central Church of Christ's Cherokee Children's weekends which included fishing, target shooting, baseball, badminton, swimming and lots of fellowship and food!

Coy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mark Austin Noles.

Coy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janet Kathleen, his daughter Valeri Colleen and her husband Travis Prusha of Valley Mills, TX; his daughter Carrie Lyn and her husband Drew Lamar of Tuscola, TX., and his son Taylor Alex Noles of Boise, ID. He is also survived by Jan's children Kelly Lynn and Todd Lyons of West Newbury, MA. and Brian Huff and Jennifer Bassignani of Durango, CO., his sister Gae Lynn and Erik Bush-Peterson of Nanticoke, PA., and his brothers' widow, Beverly Noles of Cottondale, TX. Surviving to honor their grandfather are Bailey Webster, Owen Huff, Hayden Anders, Henry Huff, Jack Lyons, Hudson Lamar, Gabriel Prusha, Emory Noles, and Holden Lamar. Surviving as great grandchildren are Sullivan Coy, Lorelei June, and Lucy Colleen Webster.

Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Noles, Nathaneal Noles, Jeremiah Noles, Travis Prusha, Gabriel Prusha, and Hayden Anders.

Memorials may be given to the Central Church of Christ in Woodson, TX.
