Clifford "C.W." Stephenson

Clifford William (C.W.) Stephenson, Jr. of Tuscola, age 90, went to be with his heavenly Father on February 24, 2023. He was born on February 8, 1933 in Santa Anna, Coleman County, Texas to Clifford William and Ruby Rillus Richardson Stephenson.

The visitation will be Wednesday, March 1,2023 from 10:00-11:00 am with services following at 11:00 am at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, officiated by Pastor Randy Estes. Burial will follow at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery.

C.W. attended Santa Anna schools, graduating from Santa Anna high school in 1951. C.W. married his high school sweetheart, Billie Ruth Wallace on July 15, 1951. Shortly thereafter they moved to Abilene, Texas. C.W. worked for Western Cotton Oil Company for 2 years, then worked for West Texas Utilities for 47 years, beginning as a billing clerk and retiring in 2000 as a Tariff Administrator, Senior Consultant. C.W. and Billie were married for 71 years before her death on July 25, 2022.

C.W. is survived by his son Gary Stephenson and Debbie of Abilene, his daughter Barbara Stephenson Kelley and Benton of Grapevine, Texas, grandson David Stephenson and Lindsay of Powder Springs, Georgia, granddaughters Stephanie Moncla and Aaron of Abilene and Kristina Wallace and Brett of Buffalo, New York, great granddaughters Piper, Lainey and Amelia Stephenson and great grandsons Blake and Bryson Moncla, his sister Rilda Stephenson Scarborough and Charles of Round Rock, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

The Stephenson family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff of Texas Oncology, Dr. Keith Robinson and staff, and the staff of BeeHive Homes for their care and kindness.
