Christine L. Moses, 91, met her Savior face to face on November 22, 2023. She had an amazing walk with the Lord, trusting Him over every detail of her life all the way Home. What a glorious entrance she must have made.
Chris was born in Bertram, Texas, to John & Della Riggs, and spent her childhood in San Saba. She married the love of her life, Ben L. Moses, on December 20, 1952 in Austin, Texas. The couple lived in Maine, Oklahoma and England before the USAF sent them to Abilene in 1959.
Chris was a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church where she served faithfully for 64 years. She was employed as church secretary for several years. She later went to work for the AISD, where she was school secretary at Lincoln and Franklin middle schools.
Chris proudly told everyone that her greatest accomplishment in this life were her children. She is survived by her son, Steve (Paula) of Big Spring; her daughter, Janet of Loganville, Georgia; two grandsons: Ben (Anne) of Dallas, and Ryan (Lilly) of Winter Garden, FL. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Hudson, Riley, and Camden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; her parents, John & Della Riggs; brothers: Garland and Denny Riggs; and a sister, Ida Herrington.
Visitation in Big Spring will be at Myers & Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, November 26, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. In Abilene, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road; funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Elmwood Memorial Park.
