Cary Alan Metts

Cary Metts, age 42, died Thursday, August 25, 2005. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 28th, @ 2 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Cemetery under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 27th from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene, Texas. Cary Alan Metts was born on March 3, 1963 in Coleman, Texas to parents Woodrow Metts and Bettie Monroe Metts. He graduated from Merkel High School in 1981. Cary married Judy Kidd on May 24, 1992 in Merkel. He loved hunting and fishing and found a love for restoring cars when he went to work for his father doing auto-body work. He loved his children and enjoyed building things for them. Cary was employed at Lawrence Hall Chevrolet. Cary was preceded in death by grandfathers: Harvey Metts and John T. Monroe; and his grandmother: Louise Monroe. Cary is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife: Judy Kidd Metts, of Abilene; his parents: Woodrow and Bettie Metts, of Tuscola; one son: Marshall Alan Metts, and two daughters: Rebecca Lynn Metts and Meagan Marie Metts, all of the home. Also two brothers: Cory Ryan Metts, of Breckenridge, and Casey Del Metts, of Abilene; along with a sister: DeDe and husband, Brent Morris, of Abilene; and grandmother: Roseleen Metts, of Coleman; and a host of loving friends.
