Carol Sue Keever

Carol Sue Keever-Young, of Abilene, passed away on August 14, 2021 in Abilene, Texas. A memorial service celebrating Carol's life will be held 10:00am Tuesday August 24, 2021 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with pastor David Cason officiating. Burial will be at Texas Veterans Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Carol was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Donn and Norma Keever on October 5, 1955. She went to school at Indianapolis. She graduated from John Marshall High School. She married Gary Young on May 3, 1985 in Abilene, Texas. Carol worked as a drafter and designer for over forty years for various engineering and architectural firms in Abilene. She was employed as a senior designer for Lauren engineers and Constructors for 30 years until her retirement in October 2020. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Donn and Norma Keever, a sister Emily Keever, a nephew Donnie Keever and niece Carrie Keever. Carol is survived by her husband Gary Young, stepchildren Randy Young and wife Tiffany, Andrea Key and husband Simon, grandchildren Kamron and Kylie Key, Landon and Beckett Young, and her brother Donn Keever and wife Florence, and nephew Dan Keever. Memorials may be given to your favorite charity.
