Brian David King

September 25, 1963 — November 25, 2025

Brian David King, 62, of Abilene, passed away on November 25, 2025, in Abilene. He was a beloved son and brother who added joy to the lives of everyone around him. Brian lived a life of gentleness and dignity, bringing warmth, joy, and love wherever he went. Anyone who had a relationship with him was blessed.

Brian was born in Wichita Falls, TX to Ray and Martha King. Growing up he enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and handbell choir. Gifted in music, he was known for his enthusiastic singing. Brian was a long-time employee at Goodwill Industries and lived most of his adult life at Disability Resources, Inc. in Abilene where he was a member of the Bell Peppers handbell choir.

Though he was a man of few words, he nevertheless was very expressive. He most beautifully and enthusiastically expressed his joy and love of life through music, both in singing and playing handbells. He loved to sing!

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Ray King and his sister, Jill King.

He is survived by his mother, Martha King, of Abilene, and sister, Carol (Raymond Hebert) of Colleyville, TX.

Services are pending.

Memorials may be given to Disability Resources of Abilene or Goodwill West Texas.

The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to Brenda Bartlett and to Interim Hospice of Abilene.
