Bobbie Frances Morris
Bobbie Frances Morris, 95, of Abilene, passed away on December 17, 2025.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, with Jeff Reid of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Bobbie Frances Morris was born in Brownwood, Texas, to Valeria and Henry Storey on August 19, 1930. She attended Early High School, where she was awarded Salutatorian of her class. She later attended Howard Payne College in Brownwood, Texas, from 1948 to 1952 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. While working as a secretary for Standard Oil in Snyder, Texas, she met William Charles “Bill” Morris, and they were married on May 30, 1953, in Snyder. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Hamilton Manufacturing for 20 years.
Bobbie was deeply devoted to her faith and church community. She was actively involved in the First Baptist Church in Hobbs, New Mexico, where she and Bill raised their three children. She served as director of the Girls’ Auxiliary and taught Sunday School. After moving to Abilene, Texas, in 1972, she remained deeply dedicated to Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, where she volunteered whenever possible and was a member of the Prime Timers. She also enjoyed substitute teaching for local schools.
In her free time, Bobbie loved spending time with her family and close friends. She especially enjoyed cooking for those she loved, traveling to visit her grandchildren and friends, and cherished her weekly Mr. Gatti’s lunches with her lady friends.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, William C. “Bill” Morris; her parents, Valeria and Henry Storey; and her brother and his wife, Henry Ross Storey and Patsy Storey.
Bobbie is survived by three children: Janice Morris; Charla and her husband, Bob Michalojko; and Doug and his wife, Kay Morris. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Meredith Michalojko, MacKenzie Michalojko, Will Morris, and Olivia Morris.
Pallbearers will be Will Morris, Anson Li, Victor Storey, Ben Morris, Robert Vernon, Brian Bessent.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the deacons from Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
