Billy was born in Beaumont, Texas, to Billy Wayne Bass, Sr. and Rea (Brister) Bass on March 16, 1979. He attended school in Vidor, Texas, and graduated from Vidor High School. On July 21, 2001, he married Beth (White) Bass in Beaumont, Texas. Throughout his career, Billy found success in various roles—including machining, safety, and environmental compliance—but he truly shined in management and leadership, serving as a respected mentor to those around him.
Known for his deep love for God, Billy was an amazing provider, a fierce protector, unconditionally loving, and quick to forgive. He had a profound passion for music and playing the guitar, using his talent to share the Word of God. He was deeply involved in the music ministry at his home church, New Beginnings Pentecostal Church of Abilene, and actively served in several other ministries. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking, indulging in chocolate, and playing board games and puzzles with his family.
Billy was preceded in death by his mother, Rea (Brister) Bass, and his father-in-law, Philip White.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Beth; children, Isaac, Luke, and Hannah; father, Billy Bass, Sr.; sister, Missy Childs and husband, Donny; mother-in-law, Josie White; sister-in-law, Julie Truman and husband, Michael. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces Angel and husband, Rufus; Aspen and husband, Lauro; and Evy, Cali, Cassidy, and Mary-Elizabeth.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Bass, Luke Bass, Billy Bass Sr., Michael Truman II, Lauro Balbuena, and John Patrick II.
