Billy Zack Baker, 95, of Abilene, passed away on April 25, 2024 in Abilene.
Visitation will be held, 10:30 - 11:30am, Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2:00pm at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene. Arrangements are made by The Hamil Family Funeral Home.
Bill was born in Brownwood, Texas on November 29, 1928.
He married Fannie King on September 2, 1979, in Brownwood. He attended Daniel Baker College and bought Roberts Supply in 1961 and ran the business until he sold it in 2004. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army and was awarded two Purple Hearts. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Primetime Sunday School Class.
He was an avid fisherman and caught many trophy size Bass.
Bill is survived by his wife, Fannie, his son Zack Baker and wife Denice; his son Terry Baker, deceased; step-son Wes Snyder and wife Pat; step-daughter Carol Ramsey and husband Bush; step-son Bill Snyder, deceased; Five Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren.
