Bettie Cutright passed away on July 2, 2022, in Abilene, TX. Visitation will be held 5-7 pm Friday July 8th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday July 9th, 2022, at Wylie Baptist Church with Darrin Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Potosi Cemetery.
Bettie was born in Ballinger, TX to Enos and Audria Hampton on August 22, 1937. The family moved to Jal, New Mexico when Bettie was very young, she attended school in Jal.
Bettie married J.B. Cutright Jr. on June 13th, 1953, in Kermit, TX. Bettie spent her life as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Bettie was preceded in death by her husband J.B. Cutright Jr., her daughter Gayla Baldwin and her husband Jim, and her parents Enos and Audria Hampton.
Bettie is survived by her sons, Jerry and wife Konnie, and Blan and wife Melody. Bettie is also survived by her brother Wayne Hampton and wife Christy, and sister Linda Knight and husband Lynn.
She also leaves behind grandchildren, Dawn and husband Curtis Van Horn, D’Nee and husband Brandon Mitchell, and Sheri Lynn Cutright. Great Grandchildren, Anthony Baldwin and wife Kylie, Dominic, Marcus Cutright, Dakota, Hayleigh, and Kynzie Mitchell. Great-great grandchild Walker Baldwin.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Cutright, Marcus Cutright, Anthony Baldwin, Brandon Mitchell, Dakota Mitchell, and Curtis Van Horn.
The family would like to extend our thanks to the staff of Home Instead, Lyndale Memory Care, and to Hospice of the Big Country.
