Bennie Ruth Daniel

Bennie Ruth Daniel, a loving, devoted, and generous woman, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on February 20, 2021. Bennie was born in Cisco, Texas, on April 16, 1940. The oldest child to Naomi and Benson Brazil, her parents instilled in her a heartfelt and deep desire to look after and love others. A treasure to all who knew and loved her, Bennie was a wonderful wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. In 1978 she met the love of her life, John J. Daniel of Abilene, Texas. They married and enjoyed over 44 years of a loving marriage. Bennie is survived by her husband John J. Daniel; daughter Evelyn G. Raughton and husband Michael; son R.B. Wagley Jr.; son Benson F. Wagley and wife Cynthia; son Joe Daniel and wife Yolanda; daughter Sarah Cortez and husband Manuel; son Michael Daniel and wife Karlene; daughter Theresa Gonzales and husband Johnny; sister Mary Windle and husband Garry; sister Ann O'Brien and husband Rick. There are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi and Benson Brazil, and her great granddaughter Aviance Cruse. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandson Justin Wagley; grandson Michael Cruse Jr.; nephew Steven Karnes; nephew Larry Karnes; son-in-law Manuel Cortez; and grandson David Raughton. A celebration of her life will be held on March 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Immediately following, there will be a graveside service at Elmwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, where visitation will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
