Becky Tubbs

Becky Tubbs, 86, of Anson, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, in Abilene.

Born Rebecca Ann Wilson on November 19, 1937, in the Eureka Community, Hill County, Texas, near Itasca to Bryan Wilson and Blanche London Wilson. She graduated from Itasca High School in 1956 and attended the University of Texas in Austin. Becky married A.C. Richardson and moved to Haskell in 1964 where their 3 sons were raised. She married Bill Tubbs in 1983 and they moved outside of Anson to farm and ranch.

Becky's interests were homemaking, gardening, arts and crafts, and antiques. Bill and Becky were active in the classic car community, and Becky in the art community where she won several awards, locally, regional, and nationally. Becky excelled in a wide variety of artistic mediums and styles. She was also a regional art competition juror. Becky moved to the Wesley Court Senior Living Community in 2019 and taught art classes to some of the residents.

Becky is survived by; one brother, Bobby Wilson of Azle; three sons, Clark Richardson and wife Debbie of Lubbock, Gil Richardson and partner Donna Scott of Stephenville, and Doug Richardson and wife Elisabeth of Round Mountain; stepdaughter, GiGi Robinson and husband William; stepson, Kenny Tubbs and wife Rayne; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four step grandchildren; also, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Blanche Wilson; stepson, Benny Tubbs; husband Bill Tubbs.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 4, 2024, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
