Albert “Dave” Justice, Sr. 81, of Abilene, passed away on October 9, in Abilene. 

A celebration of his life will be October 17 at 1:00 held at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 W. Lake Road, Abilene, with Chaplain Eric Masci of Hospice of the Big Country officiating.  Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.

Dave was born at Baytown, Texas to George and Vivian Justice on September 25, 1941. He graduated from high school in Holdenville, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology. He married Martha Young on November 11, 2000, in Abilene. He worked as a building contractor, and he was widely known in that profession. Dave’s military service was in the Air Force. Dave enjoyed playing golf when he wasn’t building houses or buildings.   He always had a vast collection of golf balls. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Sam Justice and sister, Kay Justice.

Dave is survived by his wife, Martha, sons, David Justice Jr. and wife Tracy, Steve Justice and wife Amy, James Young and wife Bonnie, and Jeff Young and wife Donaca. Also survived by his sister, Ophlia Merrill, brothers James Justice and Mike Justice and wife Sheryl.  Dave is survived by ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, 301 S. Pioneer Dr #105, Abilene, Texas 79605 or to a charity of your chose. 

The family of Dave would like to extend our sincere thanks to Hospice of the Big Country and Northern Oaks Living and Rehabilitation for their care.
